PA Recruitment Agencies: Leveraging Technology for Candidate Screening

Many online job-posting boards have seen an increase in online applications submitted through mobile applications. This trend does not entirely come as a surprise. After all, staying connected through mobile devices has become more of a necessity these days rather than a mere diversion or idle inclination. Specific apps and websites enable people to shop, stay in touch, be productive, and even make their next career moves. Indeed, the job application process these days can be as easy as a few swipes on one’s mobile phone. Candidates, however, are not the only ones who benefit from mobile connectivity. Many agencies also recognise the benefits of utilising mobile apps for personal assistant or PA recruitment purposes.

Temp Recruitment Agencies Can Be Your Ticket to Earning London Wages

There was good news for many workers in Chancellor George Osborn’s Budget speech in July. He announced that next year would be the debut of the new national living wage. Starting April 2016, workers aged 25 and above will be paid £7.20 per hour, which is up from the National Minimum Wage of £6.50 an hour for those 21 years old and above. The aim is to progressively raise the national living wage until it reaches £9 per hour in 2020. While this is good news for the workforce in the rest of the country, London’s minimum wage still beats it at £9.15 per hour. The problem is, competition in the London employment market is generally tough, making it difficult for many to land a job.

Time Off and Weddings: What Applicants for London PA Jobs Should Know

RMS Recruitment loves to celebrate weddings. In fact, we’ve celebrated two staff weddings just this summer. So before we proceed discussing holiday entitlement and weddings, we would first like to congratulate our very own Natasha Webb, now Mrs. Natasha Greely and Laura Hayhurst-France, now Mrs. Laura Lennard. If you’re looking for PA jobs in London and are soon to be married, just as Natasha and Laura did, it pays to learn how to negotiate your holiday entitlement as a part your benefits package. Throughout the EU, UK has one of the lowest holiday entitlements. Statutory holiday entitlement in UK is up to 28 days (5.6. weeks for a 5-day week), including Bank Holidays. According to a PR Newswire article, employers typically provide either 20 (minimum), 25, or 28 days annually, excluding Bank Holidays.

PA RECRUITMENT AGENCIES: SUPPORTIVE WORKING ENVIRONMENT IS IN DEMAND

According to an article released by HR Grapevine, the top job searchers are more interested in the working environment rather than job perks and benefits. The study, participated in by students who have earned MBA degrees from the country’s premier business schools, revealed that 44% of the women and 46% of the men agreed that they were more likely to move to a different job if the culture and environment wasn’t according to their liking. According to them, they would very much prefer a job where the environment is supportive and constructive rather than aggressive and competitive. A company that puts emphasis on support and collaborative efforts is apparently what attracts the best hires in the country. This is contradictory to other’s belief that job perks and incentives are the best ways to attract high-performing staff.

TOP RECRUITMENT AGENCIES USE TOP TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENTS FOR HIRING

Some companies may have noticed that despite the huge number of people looking for jobs, applications remain low especially amongst the millennials or Generation Y. This can be problematic for a company for many different reasons: Generation Y, is the most-up-to-date generation in terms of technology use. They also possess information and skillsets that previous generations may not have had, and lastly, being the younger generation, they are the ones who are capable of working for longer years in a company. First of all, it is important to understand that there is no shortage of demand for new jobs. So why then are there fewer applicants? The problem is not the company or the job description, but rather the process of hiring itself. Generation Y is also the generation of tech-savvy youths who use their smartphones more often than desktops, or laptops.
